Healthcare

I benefited from delivering all my babies at Upland Hills Health in Dodgeville, WI, where I received top-notch care. And I appreciated that for all three children, I had many of the same, trusted, health care providers. This is not something that happens everywhere, but in rural hospitals like Upland Hills, it does.

In the Assembly, I coauthored bills to provide Medicaid coverage for new moms for the first 12 months, to cover certain breast cancer screenings, to regulate pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), and to protect every woman's right to full reproductive health care. These are just some of the things we can do to control the cost of, and expand access to, health care.

Every Wisconsinite should have access to quality, affordable health care. This includes mental health care and dental care. Our district has seven hospitals and even more clinics and nursing homes. We must keep that network strong so that no matter where you are in our district, you can get health care.
